S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y NIGHT!

Ahh the Bay City Rollers. Anyone else remember them or am I the only old fart? LOL

So since the last update let's see... I started my 1st attempt at IVF. for those who don't know that is Invitro Fertilization. 4 shots a day and all kinds of lovely bruises to show for it. Thank god Craig was able to do it because there is no way I was going to shoot myself up. I guess this shows I could never be a drug addict. So after 3 weeks almost of shots they decided that my ovaries just weren't playing along. So they cancelled the IVF and converted me to an IUI (IntraUterine Insemination). A much easier procedure but less effective. They don't do the surgical IVF for only a couple of eggs.

So now we wait to see what happens. I'm still doing my acu[uncture to help things along and releive stress. If this doesn't work then we are going to take at least a month off and explore our options.

Work was pretty busy this week. I had a talk with my boss (before the IVF was cancelled) about my job etc. He was so nice. He wants to be sure I come back after I give birth and he is willing to give me various options to be sure I work for him. He said, "What will I do without you?" I had to keep reminding him that I'm not even pregnant yet so take it easy.... LOL

I had a lovely lunch with my mom and nephew Jake on Thursday. I miss seeing them all the time. So this was very nice.

We stayed home form the shore this weekend due to the rain. no sense getting trapped inside a trailer with a rammy 8 year old and two smelly dogs. So we did a bunch of cleaning this morning and some shopping this afternoon. Fun for me!

Ladies, I found the perfect way to get your husbands to help around the house. Buy a steam cleaner for the floors! It is a cool new electric toy for him to play with and he loves seeing all the dirt it gets up. He did the dining room, part of the kitchen and the bathroom all by himself!! Life is good!!!! Why didn't I think of this ages ago??

Enjoy your Saturday night and GO PHILLIES!!!

Lots of updates

In the tradition of my dear friend Allegra I will list 7 random things about myself that you all might not know. Enjoy these tidbits.
1) I hate feet. Think they are ugly, gross, and just plain nasty. My sister and I share this trait. Perhaps our father's nasty tootsies had something to do with this. LOL
2) I don't eat vegtables. Not one - unless french fries count.
3) I was born in a snow/ice storm and love winter storms to this day.
4) As a child I ran away from home because, "These people can't possibly be my real family." I thought surely I was a princess and my real parents had to give me away to keep me from some awful fate. My poor mom was devistated that I felt this way. Thankfully I only made it to the end of the street and sat there for hours waiting for my real parents to come get me.
5) I wear my grandmother's engagement ring on my right hand.
6) I can cry at the drop of a hat. Always could. Just ask my brother. I got him in trouble lots of times by doing that. hee hee
7) I hate that I can't tan. Ever.

OK so on to other things. My life is one big doctor appointment these days. Bloodwork, scans, poking and prodding. It is so fun. Hopefully it will all be worth it in the end and produce a child!! But for now we are still working on it. Thanks for all the prayers and good wishes. We are sure doing our part to make this work!!

Along the baby line... I found out that 2 people I know are pregnant this week. I am happy for them but at the same time very frustrated I can't join the ranks. The worst thing is that they weren't even trying. One of them has already had a baby since we started trying and is now working on her 2nd. Life isn't fair - I know that. But it still is a pain! But I"m hanging in there.

Work is very busy and that is good. It keeps me from focusing too much on myself. Though you wouldn't know it form the blog I suppose. :) I've started doing acupuncture to relieve stress and help with my womanly issues. The stress part is working so maybe the other will too. I recomend it to anyone who needs a little relief. It doesn't hurt like you think it would having all those needles stuck in you.

My niece has a broken arm. She fell on it playing soccer. Poor thing is so bummed to be missing out on field hockey. She asked me, "If I were falling again should I put out my good arm or bad arm to stop myself?" I told her to fall on her face instead. LMAO Sweet aunt Kathie.

My husband is working this week!! Can you believe it?! Of course it will only be a shift here and there at the hospital as a nursing assistant but it will get him in the door when it comes time to look for a real full time position. So he will only work 1 or 2 shifts a month but it will be a little extra cash.

I think that is enough for now. I'll get back to work before I get in trouble. :)

Greetings earthlings

Hi all. I hope you had a wonderful weekend as I did. I was somehow able to relax for an entire weekend!! It was a miracle. The boys went to the shore without me - at my request - so the house was quiet and peaceful.

Friday night I played on the computer and had some wine. Saturday I got to sleep in - until the cat walked on my head 1 too many times and I had to get up. Then spent the day in Peddlers Village with tthe girls. It was a gorgeous day and having 4 gals yacking away in the car made the drive go pretty quickly. I really miss the girl days. Now that everyone is married or has kids it is so hard to get together. After some shopping and a long lunch it was back home to my quiet house again. Finished off the rest of that bottle of wine and actually watched an entire movie without interuption. It was glorious!

Sunday I grocery shopped, baked cookies (yes, I baked on my own without the fire department getting any calls) and then enjoyed an afternoon of football. Go EAGLES!!

I hope you all are as relaxed as I was this weekend. :)

Miss you all
Kathie

Rainy days and Mondays

Well this week isn't starting out so good. Hopefully it gets better!

Another month of officially not being pregnant. I'm starting to think it will never happen. But I'm trying to be positive and praying it works. At least now I can have some caffeine tonight to stay awake for the Eagles game. They better win!!!

Mondays in general are a pain in the backside. I think we should have 4 day work weeks all the time. Another day of sleep would be delightful. I'll see if HR can be convinced to change it.

We had my brother's block party this weekend. It is always a fun time. Craig got to see me and my mom being competitive at the same time. And let me tell you - it ain't pretty folks. At least now he knows where my competitive streak comes from after seeing Granny in action. Give the woman some bean bags and look out! LOL

I've decided that shopping therapy is my new outlet for frustration. Did some damage on Friday night. Not much for me but I got stuff for the house and the trailer. I do enjoy buying stuff. Could I be turning to shopping to fulfill my unmet needs? Who cares? I want more stuff!!!

Hump day

Well the boys are back in school. Yippee!!!!! Life is back to some semblance of normalcy. Homework, bedtimes and daily routines. But most of all no one sleeping in while I am off to work! LOL

The shore was very relaxing. Had a cookout with our neighbors and Sam took their little girls out hunting for snakes and frogs. These girls are too darn cute! 3 and 4 years old and adorable! I told Sam this was good practice for if he becomes a big brother. He was very cute with them but kept asking me why they keep talking so much. LOL

My wedding album is finally in. I get it tomorrow at lunch. I can't wait to see it. However, I usually hate all pictures of myself so I am trying not to be too excited. I did see the proofs but it will be different in an album and all blown up!

TGIT

The end of another fun week. Yes, I'm off tomorrow!! Yeah! My last long weekend for awhile. We head to the shore tonight for some much needed relaxation.

I do have to head back Sat AM for a doctor appointment - which sucks! But I have to do it. I will be back on the beach by 12 hopefully.

I'm stocking up on some adult beverages and trashy novels and plan to relax big time. I am even going to go over to the boards and hot some roller coasters and be a kid again.

I'll catch you all next week!

Rainy days and Tuesdays....

Greetings again everyone. I hope all is well.

Well the hubby started school again yesterday. I do take some pleasure in waking him up in the morning - I must admit. hee hee We are starting to get back into some routine though I don't like it! I want summer back! I feel like a kid who doesn't want to go back to school.

Mom is coming up for dinner tonight. It will be so nice to get caught up with her. I haven't seen her in forever.

Work is work. I wish I could say I love it all but I am so tired these days. Tired of getting up in the morning, tired of the commute, tired of having to work for a living period! Bring on the Powerball!!

On another note - football season is once again here. So if any of you want in on my pool let me know ASAP. It starts next week!

Catch you all later,
Kath

Welcome

Hi all. This is my first attempt at this so excuse me if it is lame! LOL I figured this would be a good way to keep you all up to date on the goings on of my exciting little world.

My first summer as a married woman is almost over. It has been fun and has gone too fast. I will admit to be happy that Craig and Sam are starting school again. It isn't fair that they get to sleep in and spend their summer at the shore while I work!!

It has been very nice spending the weekends at the shore. I'll miss the nice weather and laying on the beach.

I miss catching up with everyone as much as I used to. It is hard when you are away most weekends - and I know you all understand. But I do miss you all.

I'm enjoying my last peaceful night. Craig and Sam are at the shore so I have the whole house to myself for the last time. Ahhhhh what to do???? When they get back it is noisy and crazy!! For now it is off to the garden to see if I have to pollinate the pumpkins (yes I'm totally serious). what an exciting life....
